  Jean will be appear on a panel at Bouchercon Mystery Convention in Anchorage, Alaska on September 28, 2007 discussing the issues involved in writing sequels. She will also be doing a book signing on Saturday, September 19, 2007 at Barnes and Nobles in Anchorage, Alaska.  Puff is miffed that he is not going along for the trip.

Jean and Puff will repeat the presentation of A Cause for Paws at the Hanover Book Festival on August 4, 2007 at the VFW Post 9808,. 7168 Flag Lane, Mechanicsville, VA.  The presentation will be one of four workshops available at the Festival and requires preregiatration and a fee of $20 per person.

Jean Keating and Puff the Papillon will be the featured speakers at the Williamsburg Library's July event entitled A Cause for Paws.  The presentation is free and open to the public and will be take place on Thursday evening, July 19, 2007 at the Williamsburg Library at 515 Scotland Street. Starting at 7:00 pm, the two will present a 25 minute program on the usages of animals in fiction and especially in mystery novels.  The program will appeal to young adults through seniors who are readers or writers, and will discuss the many roles animals play in stories will special emphasis on rules for writers on including animals in their stories. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session and will provide a reading list to attendees of the books mentioned in the presentation.
